Many consider axis venison to be the best-tasting venison in the world! The blackbuck also has a very mild flavor and is great eating. Hunting them in Texas means you can bring the meat back home to enjoy and to share. The blackbuck, with their circular rings creating a spiral appearance, is one of the most unique mounts for your wall. The tall antlers of an axis deer are also stunning! May add hogs at $50 each or come only for a hog hunt at $500 (this is a Chapter Hunt special as Starry Night Ranch does not have hog-only hunts).

Our May dates are a great time to hunt in Texas, the heat has not yet gotten oppressive and the axis are in hard antler.
